Terms of service
By using fightelo you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose — please read them. If you don't agree, don't use the site.
Who can sign up
You must be at least 13 years old (16 if you're in the EU). You're responsible for the security of your account and for any activity that happens under it.
What you can do
Vote, comment, post, and discuss. Have fun. Argue about whether Goku beats Saitama.
What you can't do
- Harass, threaten, or post hateful content targeting people.
- Post content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, contains malware, or sexualizes minors.
- Spam, scrape the site, run automated voting, create multiple accounts to swing ELO, or otherwise game the rankings.
- Impersonate someone else or post their personal information.
- Try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you grant fightelo a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to display, store, and adapt that content as needed to run the service (for example, to show your comment on a matchup page or generate a thumbnail).
You're responsible for your content. If something you post causes a legal problem for fightelo, you agree to be responsible for sorting it out.
Moderation
We can remove content, suspend accounts, or close threads at our discretion — particularly for breaches of the rules above. We don't have an obligation to monitor everything proactively, but we will respond to reports.
Account closure
You can delete your account at any time (see the Privacy policy for how). We can close accounts that breach these terms, generally with notice unless the breach is severe.
The site is provided as-is
fightelo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy of ELO rankings, or that the site will fit your particular use case. To the maximum extent allowed by law, fightelo and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, we'll update the date at the top and surface significant changes in-app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION — fill in before launch]. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
